Jarrod Lawson – Do Whatchu Gotta

US soul/R&B and jazz artist Jarrod Lawson begins 2026 with the

soulful, melodic, R&B slow jam ‘Do Whatchu Gotta’, co-written

with French chill-hop artist Rose Noir. Featuring Jarrod’s exquisite

vocal harmonies and atmospheric keyboard talents, the track

captures the quiet acceptance of letting someone go, and

launches the campaign for his new album Just Let It, due May 1st.

Accompanied by a stunning live performance video and a

January US tour.

“Do Whatchu Gotta” was inspired by the Rose Noir track “Twins”. I

remember sitting on my couch when I first heard the track, and I

loved the vibe so much that I jumped up and grabbed my

notebook to start jotting down some lyrics that I was hearing; very

much non-biographical musings that randomly came to me in

the moment. It was like a little gift from beyond!” Jarrod Lawson

The long awaited 14-song album, for release on May 1, includes

Next Move, Jarrod’s collaboration with Los Angeles vocalist

Raquel Rodriguez, which not only hit #1 on the US Urban

Influencer R&B/Soul Top 30, but also became the #1 track of 2024

on the UK Soul Chart.

Nashville-based Jarrod starts a lengthy US tour in mid-January,

including dates in Richmond and Alexandria VA, Atlanta,

Minneapolis, Chicago, St Louis, Charlotte NC, New York, Portland,

Sacramento, Oakland and Milwaukee (Fresh Coast Jazz Festival).

Followed by live and festival dates in UK/EU this summer.
